Lisa Ryder was born on 26 October 1970 in Edmonton, Alberta, is a Canadian actress, who portrayed the role of Beka Valentine on the science fiction television series Gene Roddenberry’s Andromeda.

Ryder attended the University of Toronto, where she began acting. She formed a local theatre group, Bald Ego Productions, in Toronto after graduation and landed her first film and television roles in the mid-1990s (such as a cameo in Babylon 5). She starred in many theater productions, including “Put Me Away,” a one-woman show she wrote herself. She gained a following as Detective Tracy Vetter on the final season of the science fiction drama Forever Knight in 1995-1996, and was cast on the syndicated science-fiction series Andromeda in 2000; the series ended in 2005 after 110 episodes. She also co-starred as android Kay-Em 14 in the 2001 movie Jason X.

Ryder guest-starred in Gene Roddenberry’s Earth: Final Conflict, Total Recall 2070, Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, Wind at My Back, and Psi Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal. She also had a recurring role on The Newsroom.

Her other movie roles include the critically acclaimed Canadian indie film Stolen Heart, the thriller Blackheart, and the short films Strands and Lemon. She also wrote, produced, and starred in the film SF Seeks, featuring Michael Shanks, Gordon Michael Woolvett, Keith Hamilton Cobb and Lexa Doig. She has also appeared in a television advert for Cheer laundry detergent in the late ’80s/early ’90s. She was married to NHL hockey player Michael Ryder.

Alexandria “Allie” DeBerry was born on October 26, 1994 in Kingwood, Texas, U.S., is an American teen actress. DeBerry has landed notable guest roles in True Jackson VP as “Cammy” and guest starred for two episodes of Disney Channel’s Shake It Up as Flynn’s crush “Destiny”. She is mainly recognized for her major-recurring role on the Disney Channel Original Series, A.N.T. Farm portraying the role of Paisley Houndstooth.

She was born the youngest of three children to Tom and Cindy DeBerry. Her love for being in front of the camera began early on with her modeling career at age 4. She progressed into the commercial industry, appearing in numerous commercials, including Rainforest Cafe, Barbie, Burger King, Church’s Chicken, Game of Life, Hasbro Smoochie Pups, and Memorial Hermann Hospital.

DeBerry’s acting career officially began in 2001 where she played a “flower girl” in a TV movie The Way She Moves. Also that year (2001) she guest starred as “Brittany” in It’s a Miracle.In 2003, DeBerry landed a guest role in television series I’m with her as young Alex. DeBerry had her first theatrical film on 2007 in Love and Mary as Sara Pedersen. The following year she continue her television career and booked the series, What’s the Word? which she was featured in two episodes. On 2009, DeBerry became more noticed for her guest role in the TV show True Jackson, VP, portraying the role of “Cammy”, a friend of Pinky played by iCarly’s (Jennette McCurdy). DeBerry was then featured on Disney Channel as she guest starred in Shake It Up, her role was Destiny (Flynn’s crush), she appeared in two episodes, named “Meatball it Up” and “Hook It Up”. Currently, DeBerry has been appearing as Paisley Houndstooth on Disney Channel’s newest hit comedy series A.N.T. Farm along with China Anne McClain, Sierra McCormick, Jake Short, Stefanie Scott and Carlon Jeffery.

Glynis Barber was born on 25 October 1955 in Durban, South Africa, is a South African actress of Afrikaner descent, born and brought up in South Africa. She was born Glynis van der Riet. When she was five years old, her parents divorced, and she and her mother moved to Johannesburg. She is best known for her portrayals of Soolin in Blake’s 7, Sgt. Harriet Makepeace in the British police drama Dempsey and Makepeace, Fiona Brake in Night and Day, DCI Grace Barraclough in Emmerdale and Glenda Mitchell in EastEnders.

She studied at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Acting since 1978, her popular breakthrough came in 1981 with her role as Soolin in the BBC science fiction television series Blake’s 7.

In 1982 she took the title role in the television series Jane playing a World War II heroine. This series was filmed against a blue screen allowing for the addition of a cartoon background, an experimental technique in its day. However, Barber is best known for her mid-1980s role of Sgt. Harriet Makepeace in the British police drama Dempsey and Makepeace, where she met her future husband, Michael Brandon.

Since 1987, Barber has appeared frequently in plays, films and television series. She also starred in the LWT drama series Night and Day as Fiona Brake. In 2006 she joined the cast of ITV soap, Emmerdale, playing the character of DCI Grace Barraclough, investigating the death of Tom King on Christmas Day. She exited the soap in September 2007, when her character was killed.

In 2009, she appeared as hospital administrator Jean McAteer in The Royal, another ITV drama series set in Yorkshire On 23 October 2009 it was announced she would play Glenda Mitchell the mother of Ronnie Mitchell, Roxy Mitchell and Danny Mitchell in EastEnders after Jill Gascoine withdrew from the role during her first day on set. On 27 February 2011 it was announced that Barber was to leave EastEnders in March 2011.

Her stage work has included Macbeth, Killing Time with Dennis Waterman, High Flyers with Hugh Grant and Make Me A Match and The Graduate. In 2011 Barber starred alongside Christopher Timothy and Denis Lil in Alan Ackbourne’s Seasons Greetings playing Belinda.

She appeared as Lady Caroline in Michael Winner’s 1983 remake of The Wicked Lady, which starred Faye Dunaway. She later appeared alongside Vanessa Redgrave in the 1997 film, Déjà Vu.

She appeared as Anthea Davis in On the Nose in 2001 along with Dan Aykroyd and Robbie Coltrane.

Barber married actor Paul Antony Barber, whom she met at drama school, in 1976. They were divorced in 1979.

Barber married her Dempsey and Makepeace co-star Michael Brandon on 18 November 1989; they have a son, Alexander Max Brandon (born November 1992).
